Biking (OPEN for the Season)

Within the city limits of Glenwood Springs, you can access two of the most spectacular paved trails in the state of Colorado. The Glenwood Canyon Trail east of town that parallels the Colorado River through the Canyon and the Rio Grand Trail south of town that heads towards Aspen. If you don’t spend a couple of hours on a bicycle during your stay in Glenwood, you are missing out.

Horseback Riding (OPEN for the Season)


Being in the saddle is as about as American West as you can get. Our Colorado horseback tours in the summer are a magical experience. The mountains are alive with wildlife and the sweet smell of wildflowers. You’ll may see, elk, deer and bighorn sheep filling their bellies on the rich abundant grass.   This is a special activity to be experiencing in the Colorado high country. Off-Road Adventure (OPEN for the Season)


Travel high above Glenwood Canyon with awe inspiring views of Colorado’s Backcountry. Scramble to a remote cabin where you can enjoy some incredible hiking opportunities and scenic vistas. Weather you are seeking a technical, bumpy ride or a smooth scenic tour we have something for everyone on this adventure. Our guides will provide you with inside info on the natural history, folklore and geology, plant life and local large and small critters. We travel on only private access roads on a working ranch with abundant wildlife. Incredible views of Mt. Sopris, Maroon Bells, Flat Tops and the Eagle and Roaring Fork Valleys.

Rafting (OPEN for the Season)

Welcome to one of the premiere rafting destinations in the west! The Colorado River winds through the dazzling Glenwood Canyon and alternates calm water stretches with beautiful rapids, offering fun and challenging whitewater rafting for all ages and abilities. This section of river provides everyone from beginner to advanced an ideal and memorable river rafting experience. The Colorado flows year-round offering family float trips from Class II to III.

Snowmobiling (CLOSED for the Season)

The Tour office is located at the lodge and open daily.  

You'll enjoy the beauty and thrill of riding through the White River National Forest on our state-of-the-art snowmobiles. Magnificent 360-degree views of Mt. Sopris, the West Elk Mountains and the Flattop Wilderness are just part of one of the most spectacular rides in Colorado. We have electric hand warmers to keep you comfortable and key safety features such as independent front suspension and hydraulic disc braking systems. Sunlight Snowmobile Tours’ friendly staff will review basic snowmobile operations so even the first timer will feel like an expert driver!

Skiing (CLOSED for the Season)
